Privacy notice
How EaselESG collects and uses your personal data, in plain language.
Who we are
EaselESG is the ESG practice of Easel Platform Services LLP ("we", "us"). For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website.
What we collect
- Details you send us by email, including through the enquiry and speaking forms (which open your own email app): name, email address, organisation, role and your message.
- Booking details if you schedule a call: name, email, time and any notes you add.
- Basic, aggregated website analytics (see Analytics below).
Why we use it
- To tell you when a resource you asked about is ready.
- To reply to your enquiry, speaking invitation or booking.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
We collect only what we need for these purposes and we do not sell your data.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to understand how people find and use this site, for example which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked. It sets first-party cookies in your browser. We have it set to anonymise IP addresses, and we do not use any of its advertising features: no advertising cookies, no ad personalisation and no Google signals. We look only at aggregated reports, not at individual visitors.
To opt out, you can block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.
Your consent
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you write to us, book a call or tick the consent box on a form. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us at the address below; it is as easy as giving it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers (Data Processors) to host the website, measure its use, run the booking calendar and handle email, under contract and only on our instructions. They are: Cloudflare (website hosting and security; processes technical data such as IP address to deliver pages), Google (Google Analytics 4 for website analytics, and Google Workspace for our email), and Cal.com (the booking calendar on our Contact page; stores the details you enter when you book a call). Each has its own privacy policy, and each may process data on servers outside India, as the DPDP Act permits unless the Government restricts transfers to a particular country.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while we are dealing with your enquiry or request, and delete it when it is no longer needed for that purpose. In practice: enquiry, speaking and booking records are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together, in which case the engagement agreement applies.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to: access a summary of your personal data and how it is processed; correct, complete or update it; erase it; and nominate another person to exercise your rights. You also have the right to grievance redressal.
Contact and grievances
Write to [email protected]. Our grievance contact is Shivani Maudgal Datta, ESG Practice Lead. We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and resolve it within 30 days, and in any case within the 90 days allowed under the DPDP Rules, 2025. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This site is meant for business professionals and is not directed at children.
